If you are a Baby Boomer you certainly have had your life work cut out for you. You have sent or are planning to send, your children off to college. Made sacrifices and assisted your siblings and parents in their times of need.  Almost as if your higher power has you making up for sinners of the preceding and post generations. One would wonder when it will be time for YOU.

You are the person that has supported so many facets of the family structure. Didn’t we teach everyone to dance, or at least give them hope that they can dance? What about Peace? This was what it was all about, all those rallys and demonstrations that caused someone to think.

Now that this is in the past, and we have been on the path of self sufficiency, when will we be able to taste the wine and feel the breeze blow through our hair? I don’t mean going on vacation. A vacation that was probably strategically planned by you spent watching the rest of the family have a blast, taking in the joy that it all brings.

I’m talking about YOU! Male or female, it doesn’t matter it’s your time. Boomers, “What Are We Thinking?”

Take a breath, look around and do what you want for a change. Not what you think you’re supposed to do, not what you think someone will let you do. It does not matter what it is, you have now been given the approval you need to DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO!

Self gratification is the greatest motivator and level setter there is in life. Take a little piece of the pie – IT IS OK!
